Hello, I'm Vivi Lou, a singer-songwriter from Central Switzerland.
With my new song "You Never Know," I want to raise awareness of invisible illnesses. Many sufferers struggle every day with challenges that aren't visible to others. With this project, I want to give these people a voice.
For this, I am looking for people from all over Switzerland who live with an invisible illness and would like to be part of the music video.
Why this project?
Every day we encounter people without knowing what they are going through.
With this music video, I want to show that behind every face there is a story and that a little understanding and kindness can often achieve more than we think.
The project is not intended to generate pity, but rather understanding, education, and hope/community for those affected.
How can you participate?
You decide how you want to participate.
For example, you can:

There is no pressure and no obligation.
This is how a filming day goes
It's important to me that the project adapts to you, and not the other way around.
A typical day of filming lasts 30 to 40 minutes.
Together we'll find a place where you feel comfortable, for example:

outside in a park
-
at a lake
-
in your neighborhood
-
or another quiet place
No acting experience is necessary.
We deliberately film in a simple and natural style.
If you need a break in between or find that it's becoming too much for you, we will of course adjust the schedule.
What is being filmed?
Each person will take roughly the same simple photos.
For example:

a portrait with a sign stating your illness
-
Turning the sign over with a message that is important to you
-
individual recordings in the chorus
-
calm portrait shots
-
and finally, a sign with a hopeful message
The focus is on the people, not on a perfect production.

You decide for yourself at any time:

which recordings may be used

and what you want to show about yourself

It is important to me that you feel comfortable throughout the entire project.
Frequently Asked Questions
I'm not from Switzerland. Can I still participate?
Of course! Together we'll find a suitable solution. Either you can travel to Switzerland for the video shoot, or we can adapt the video concept so that you can participate from where you live.
Do I have to sing?
No.
You are welcome to sing along, but you don't have to. Many recordings work perfectly well without vocals.
Do I have to speak in front of the camera?
No.
There is no speaking in the music video.
Do I have to act?
Not at all.
We simply want to show you as you are.
Can I remain anonymous?
Naturally!
